Tawfiq Hassan is an experienced Chartered Accountant with over 18 years in the industry. His career spans commercial accounting, tax advisory, and SMSF auditing, with a strong focus on serving SMEs, family groups, and high-net-worth individuals.
Tawfiq began his career in 2006 at an ASX-listed software company before transitioning to the chartered industry in 2009. He has worked for several mid-sized chartered firms in accounting, tax, and audit roles, receiving valuable training from partners at ex-Big 4 firms. Tawfiq also worked at DBW Chartered Accountants, which later merged with BDO Sydney.
Tawfiq holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is a Chartered Accountant, a member of CAANZ, and registered with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB). He is an SMSF Specialist Advisor, with the SMSF Association and a registered SMSF Auditor with ASIC.
Outside of work, Tawfiq enjoys spending time with his wife and children, cycling, reading, and playing cricket. He is also an active volunteer in his community.
